PHI Search

PHI Search is a job search company based out of New York city. They needed a website that could be managed by them as well as additional functionality for uploading documents as well as applicants uploading their resumes. I decided upon Wordpress for this site as it would easily allow them to modify the site themselves. All the categories can be dynamically added or removed as well as individual job postings. For the job postings, I built a Wordpress admin plugin which allows them to add job postings, upload documents related to those postings and manage the resumes submitted by applicants.

EMT Review

EMT Review was an Android application I developed. This application was a testing application to prepare for an EMT exam. Among the features are a built in SQLite database that holds all the questions, the ability to choose individual exams or take all the exams at once and the ability to select between a certain number of questions or choose all questions. The questions are randomized and upon completion of the exam, the application tells you your percentage of questions answered correctly as well as the option to email the results.

ALPA Mobile

ALPA Mobile was another Android application I built. The notable feature of this application is the fact that it dynamically pulls news stories from RSS feeds and uses a web service to grant access to a password protected area where the user is able to view private contact lists and search said lists. Image and data caching also came into play to speed up use of the application so there is no lag for the end user.

Phoebe Berks

Phoebe Ministries is a retirement home local to the Allentown, PA area. They needed a satellite site for their Berks, PA campus which I implemented. I took PSD files and converted them into a fully working site using Codeigniter on the backend. Among the features of the site are interactive walkthroughs of the campus, dynamic forms for applying online, custom jQuery plugins and a themed Wordpress blog.

Toys R Us Store Locator

While working for TrueAction, one of the projects I was able to work on was the Toys R Us e-commerce site. While I performed large amounts of bug fixing on the product and checkout pages I also worked on the store locator. This project was primarily a 3 man team and we saw the project from start to finish. This system was then localized to be used on non-english versions of the website as well. Finally, this system was then used by many other clients of TrueAction such as Radioshack and Timberland.

AceUK

AceUK is a talent management company out of London. I was hired to implement a redesign of the website using CakePHP as a backend. I added features to the site on the front end and the backend admin section as well.

Informal Debates

Informal Debates was a social network I worked on as a side project. It is a completely functional social network which incorporates Ajax heavily for a very rich user experience. I both designed and developed this project as well as took care of all the server setup and maintenance. On the front end there are the familiar technologies of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, using the jQuery library. On the back end I used PHP and MySQL with help from the Codeigniter framework.
